Biaxially Oriented PVC Pipe (PVC-O) Production Process

The biaxially oriented PVC pipe (PVC-O) is a pipe made by a biaxial orientation process. During the production process, the PVC-U pipe is heated and stretched in both the circumferential and axial directions, so that the molecular chains are highly oriented and arranged to form a layered structure, thereby significantly improving the material performance.

Advantages of PVC-O Pipes:

1. High strength: The compressive strength is more than twice that of PVC-U, and it can withstand higher pressures (e.g. 16-25 bar).

2. Lightweight: Under the same pressure, the wall thickness is reduced by 30%-50%, the weight is lighter, and the transportation and installation costs are reduced.

3. Fatigue resistance: PVC-O pipe is not easy to crack under repeated pressure fluctuations, and the service life is more than 50 years.

4. Good toughness: The low-temperature impact resistance is better than PVC-U (it still maintains toughness below -10°C).
