The PVC profile extrusion line includes several key components: control system, conical twin-screw extruder or parallel twin-screw extruder, calibration unit, haul-off unit, cutter, film covering machine, and stacker.
The control system is the brain of the operation, ensuring that all components work in harmony and that the process parameters are maintained within the desired ranges for optimal product quality. The twin-screw extruder is at the heart of the PVC profile production line, where raw PVC material is melted and formed into a continuous profile of the desired shape. This is achieved through a carefully designed screw mechanism that ensures even plasticization and high output.
The calibration unit is where the hot, extruded PVC profiles are cooled and precisely shaped to meet the required dimensions. This is typically done using a vacuum setting table with a special enlarged vortex flow cooling system, which facilitates rapid cooling and solidification of the profile. The haul-off unit then takes over, applying a consistent pulling force to draw the profile away from the calibration unit at a controlled rate.
